We’re in Traverse City memorial Day weekend, two nights (Fri/Sat), at the TC Opera House. Playing the Dark Side of Oz on Friday, and The Wall on Saturday.
Another we are announcing is October 1 at the Kalamazoo State Theatre.
More info on these shows as well as the two Chicago-area gigs this summer, at our Facebook page.
Relayer was a revelation to me. We had a Yes clique where we would attempt these songs, not quite butchering them. My technique and mind was not quite matured to be able to pull off these tunes…if I knew then what I know now, I tihnk I could have done a better job, or if I were able to go back in time, I could show myself what I needed to do to get the power and technique.
Alan White is a genius on the drums. The whole alum shows this, he is creative, powerful…like RIngo with mega chops. The groove in the jam on GOD, where did he come up with that lopey triplet powre groove…I love that groove.
I miss the days of superhero musicians. I don’t know why the music media needed to destroy them…well, I do know and don’t like the answer at all.
We played there last Friday to a nice enthusiastic crowd. I thought it was the best show I’ve played with the guys so far, we were in the zone. The lasers, well…I wasn’t believing what I was seeing from my vantage point, and the vids show what it looked like out front but I don’t think the effect is quite the same as if you were there.
Giant panes of colored glass spinning in the air…
EOPF will be at the Small Planet in East Lansing october 16th, with the full bag of laser tricks. Don’t miss it!
A cover of The Camera Eye by Dream Theatre…I wish I never lost that bootleg I got from a friend of the Signals show I saw in the Civic Arena (Da Burgh). That was a show…
